These Watermelon Frosé Margaritas have been a Summer drink favorite around the Adams’ house for pretty much every occasion under the sun- pool day, Taco Tuesday or boozy brunches. Frosé (frozen rosé) is all of the rage this season and any Texan will tell you that their favorite drink is most likely a margarita. Well we combined the best of both worlds, threw some watermelon in there too, and made arguably the best drink of the Summer.
While many of the happy hour frosés that I have tried in the past were far too sweet for my liking, I did love the cold blend of rosé and fruit and wanted to try my own hand at the nifty concoction! I discovered that adding watermelon brought in a natural sweetness to the blend while the limes make it just a tad bit tart, truly a blend of best worlds.
The hard part of this recipe was finding a rosé that complimented the tequila and wasn’t too sweet and overpowering. I searched for a rosé that was fruitful, aromatic, moderately sweet and most importantly wouldn’t cost me a pretty penny to buy in bulk. Llano Estacado Signature Rosé checked all of those boxes and complimented the exact level of natural sweetness and fruitful rosé flavoring that I was going for. The best part? It is under $10!

1 bottle750ml Llano rosé wine
2cupschopped, seedless watermelon
1cuptequila
1/2cuplime juice
2cupsice
For best results: pour rosé into a shallow dish or ice cube tray. Freeze for 6 hours. It won’t be completely frozen because it contains alcohol but should be mostly frozen.
Combine frozen rosé, chopped watermelon, tequila, lime juice and ice into a blender. Process until blended. Pour into glasses and garnish as you please.
For added booziness: pour a shot of of rosé to act as a “floater” on the top of the frozen cocktail and enjoy!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has officially started! I’m sharing what I purchased along with all of my initial favorite picks. Keep in mind that new items will be added daily but these first items may or may not be restocked! Things are already flying off the shelves and the sale hasn’t even been live for 24 hours so if you see something you want, don’t hesitate on clicking that purchase button. Nordstrom has free shipping and free returns so if something doesn’t work out, you can just send it back! Better to be safe than sorry as leaving something in your basket for more than a few minutes can mean you miss out!
I personally opted to pick up the majority of my purchases. This means that Nordstrom will pull all of the items that you purchased and have them waiting for you at the customer service desk for you to pick up. Literally within a couple of hours! This is by far a better option than fighting the crows. I went before the sale started yesterday and it was already a madhouse! Also, there is almost double the selection online as there is in store as many of these items are “online only”.
Every year I stock up on “basics” meaning cotton tees, denim, cardigans, and leggings as these are the most worn pieces in my closet and truly are the most versatile. I love these $18 long sleeve teesfor layering when it starting to get a little cooler. The striped ones are always so cute peaking out from underneath a sweater! Last year I purchased this suede moto jacket and got way more use out of it than I thought! It goes with everything: jeans, sundresses, you name it! Grab it while it’s almost $60 off. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of these and I highly suggest getting them in multiple colors.

There is only one sale of the year that could pull me out of a deep slumber to shop. But let’s be honest it won’t even be a deep slumber because I will hardly sleep! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is literally like Christmas morning minus the part you are the one playing Santa Claus and using real money instead of make believe North Pole money. Nonetheless, it it completely worth it. In fact, the past two years I’ve taken off work the first day of the sale so that I could wake up and shop it! Crazy lady status I know.
TIPS TO GET THE GOOD STUFF
Set your alarm! The good stuff will go fast, so if you are dedicated to scoring the best of the best, you will want to wake up early and head to itsallchictome.com where I will have the low down on the best items from the sale. Make a list– If you’ve already perused the Nordstrom Catalog and know of exact items you want to snag. Write down the exact item name so you can search it when the sale goes live.
