If you couldn’t tell from my stories, I have a love that runs very, very deep for holiday pajamas. Heck, I pretty much bought the whole dang pajama department at Target the other day! I know it seems a little crazy to already start shopping for the holidays but since I’m never early for anything, I figured why not get a head start? A lot of us held out for Black Friday sales last year to pick up our holiday pajamas and then all of the cute ones were already sold out. So while it might seem early, if you or your family likes to have matching holiday pajamas, I highly suggest grabbing them sooner rather than later! See below for my top picks at all price points.

Don’t forget to check out and even bookmark my HOLIDAY tab on the blog. If on a desktop, t is located in the top right hand corner of the webpage. And if on mobile, you can find the drop down at the top of the screen. Scroll down to HOLIDAY (located near the bottom). This page already houses everything you could possibly need help with for the holidays: gift guides, holiday decor, event dresses, ugly sweaters and more!

Old Navy Try On Haul

Old Navy is one of my favorite places to stock up on good quality basics and now is definitely the time being that everything is 50% OFF TODAY ONLY. If you are a Old Navy card holder, use code CARD at checkout. If you are not, no worries! I got you girl! All you have to do is text VIP to 653689 to get a coupon code for 50% off. Keep in mind this is a one time use coupon code and is good for TODAY ONLY!

If you are new to shopping at Old Navy, they have sizes for everyone! Most items coming regular, petite and tall as well as plus size and maternity as well. I find that their tops fit true to size but I normally size up in their sweaters and down in the pants. See each item for more specific sizing details!

Without further adieu let’s get this try on haul started!

Old Navy Try On Haul

PLAID SHIRTI own about 5 of these now. They are great for layering and wearing so many different ways. The best part about these plaid shirts are that they are very lightweight and flexible so the arms roll up easily and knotting/tucking them are easy as well. Come in TONS of colors too. I am wearing an XS regular and it is a longer length than normal.

QUILTED VESTIf you are in the market for a lightweight vest, these come in tons of colors! If you want a thicker, puffier jacket this one is great too.

ANKLE JEANS: Old Navy jeans are usually incredible ill fitting on me but these were AMAZING. Just the right amount of stretch and a decently high waist to suck everything in. Not to mention, they did wonders for the booty. They run true to size. I am wearing a 0 regular. I highly suggest checking out there entire straight jeans collection HERE. Some of my other favorite pairs are here, here and here.

BOOTIES: I loved these so much I ditched my booties to wear these for the entire try on session. They come in 4 colors and I love the idea of a slide on bootie. Nothing beats a throw on and go shoe for all times of the year! They run true to size but if inbetween sizes, size up!

Old Navy Try On Haul

“CHEERS MY DEER” SWEATSHIRT: Cute sweatshirt for the holidays. It is more of a fitted sweatshirt so I suggest sizing up one for a looser fit, or two for an oversized fit!

Old Navy Try On HaulCOLORBLOCK SWEATER: I’ve been eyeing this sweater for months! Feels like cashmere but a fraction of the cost. Comes in multiple colors. I suggest sizing up!

Old Navy Try On Haul

Old Navy Try On Haul

SHERPA PULLOVER: While these are called “sherpa” pullovers, they are more like a fuzzy fleece! Very warm and cozy and I liked that these had looser sleeve than most I’ve tried on, bigger pockets, and a different color collar. I suggest sizing up! They come in 4 color options.

Old Navy Try On HaulSHERPA HOODIEHoly cozy! This hoodie features a front pocket that goes all the way through, a hood, and ribbon ties around the neck. It comes in 3 colors.

TUNIC TEE: One of my favorite pieces I tried on. A great basic to layer under sweaters since it is on the longer side and would look so cute peaking out of the bottom of sweaters. It is long enough to cover your butt if wanting to wear with leggings. Comes in several colors and runs true to size.

BOUCLE SCARF: Softest scarf ever and comes in tons of colors. Each color is marled with specks of other colors as well. Highly suggest this one!

Old Navy Try On Haul

CREW NECK SWEATER:  Great option for my working ladies to layer with collared shirts. This specific color combo would be great for the holidays! I personally like my sweaters more fitted for work, even if I plan to layer. In that case, I would say the sweater runs true to size. If you want it a little looser (pictured above), size up! I am wearing a small.

PLAID SHIRT: I own about 5 of these now. They are great for layering and wearing so many different ways. The best part about these plaid shirts are that they are very lightweight and flexible so the arms roll up easily and knotting/tucking them are easy as well. Come in TONS of colors too. I am wearing an XS regular and it is a longer length than normal.

CROPPED FLARE JEANS: These have a button fly and look very similar to Madewell jeans for a fraction of the cost. I thought they ran on the bigger side. I suggest sizing down if inbetween sizes. I would have needed a 00.

RUFFLED SWING DRESS: Perfect for the office or Thanksgiving! Has a looser fit that would fit a bump or food baby:) Runs true to size. If wanting to wear with knee high boots or taller, I suggest getting petite! This same print comes in a few other style dresses. See them below.

ONE // TWO // THREE

SHIRT DRESS: Made of tensel so it is super soft! Runs true to size. I do not suggest getting petite as the particular one runs on the short side. Old Navy’s shirt dress collection is awesome right now and great for the office. My other two favorites are here and here.

ONE // TWO // THREE // FOUR

QUILTED VEST: If you are in the market for a lightweight vest, these come in tons of colors! If you want a thicker, puffier jacket this one is great too.

CARDIGAN: I compared this cardigan to the Barefoot Dreams one and that might have been a bit of a stretch but it is SO soft and stretchy too. It fits a little oversized so I suggest sizing down if inbetween sizes.

SWING DRESS: These swing dresses are great throw on and go dresses. I own several of the striped ones as I love wearing them with sweaters and boots. They run true to size. I’m wearing an XS regular.

LEFT SWEATER (similar): This exact sweater is currently only available in plus size. Grab it here. I’m linking another sweater that would be cute to wear with this dress. When layering over a dress, I suggest sizing up in your sweaters!

RIGHT SWEATER (similar): This exact sweater is sold out. Here is a very similar one. Again, I suggest sizing up if you want to layer over this dress!

LONG LINE MOTO COATComes in grey and black and runs true to size. Although if you plan on wearing more than one layer underneath, I suggest sizing up! Same with the below coats that I personally own and have been top sellers for the blog! Grab them HERE.

SHERPA DENIM JACKET: I’ve seen so many jacket like this on the market right now, but this one arguably tops them all and is much less than others I have seen. Runs on the smaller side (suggest sizing up) and also comes in black.

LONG CARDIGANComes in two beautiful colors and is a thick material, more like a sweater than a cardigan. Runs a little oversized so if in between sizes, size down.

CARDI COATLooks like a coat but is made out of a thick sweater material making it feel more like a cardigan. Comes in two gorgeous, neutral colors and is a decent sized weight. Runs a bit oversized so if you are in between sizes, size down!

HOLIDAPAJAMAS

*Friendly PSA: most of these styles sold out before Black Friday last year so if you are wanting a pair of holiday pajamas, I highly suggest grabbing them now as these are the lowest price I expect them to be and sizes are still fully stocked!*

ONESIEComes in two patterns (this one and a buffalo plaid). These were the first thing to sell out last year. Attaching a picture below of my sisters and I in the buffalo plaid last year. They run true to size. If wanting a looser fit, size up!

MIX AND MATCH PJ’S: There are TONS of pajama tops that you can mix and match. They have thermals, flannels, graphic tees and more! I love that the pajama tops are so festive that they can be worn out in public too and nobody would know that they are pajamas 😉 Keep in mind the thermal run very small. I suggest sizing up a size in tops and bottoms and possibly sizing up 2 in the top if you want to wear them out in public! Graphic tees and flannels run true to size although I normally size up in the graphic tees so that I can knot/tuck them if I wear them out of the house!

SHERPA ROBE: Need I say more? Comes in 3 colors and would make the perfect Christmas gift. Check out their great slipper selection too HERE.

As always thank you SO much for shopping through my links. I know it’s an extra step for you but it makes a world of difference for me! If you want to check out some more of my Old Navy picks, look HERE.

Adams’ Family Fall Recipes

POPCORN BALLS

Adams' Family Fall Recipes: Pumpkin Popcorn Balls

10 cups popcorn (popped)
2, 10 ounce bags of Mini Marshmallows
1/2 cup unsalted butter
Orange food dye

2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 roll of clear or orange Cellophane                12 green pipe cleaners                             Serving Size: 24 Popcorn balls

Step 1: Pop the popcorn, remove any leftover kernels and place all 5 cups of popcorn in a large bowl.

Step 2: Use the stove to melt the Mini Marshmallows and butter in a pan on low heat. Continuously stir until the mixture is completely melted.

Step 3: Add 10 drops of orange food dye and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the marshmallow mixture and stir until fully mixed.

Step 4: Pour the marshmallow mixture over the popcorn and stir until the popcorn is evenly coated.

Step 5: At this point you can use a scooper or your hands to scoop up the popcorn balls. I suggest spray your hands or scooper with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place each ball on a piece of parchment paper to dry.

Step 6: Cut 24 squares of cellophane large enough to place the popcorn ball in the middle, wrap it up, and still have enough material for the “stem”. You will also want to cut your 12 pipe cleaners in half.

Step 7: Tie up all of your popcorn balls in their cellophane wrapper and tie it off with a pipe cleaner. For add effect: twist the pipe cleaner to make the “stem” curly!

CHICKEN TORTELLINI SOUP

8 cups chicken broth
3 carrots (chopped)
4 stalks celery (chopped)
1 large onion (chopped)
1 sprig rosemary

2 sprigs thyme                                                        1 Rotisserie Chicken                                            1 package (9 ounces) Tortellini .             Serving Size: 8 servings

Step 1: In a large pot, bring broth to a broil. Reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes.

Step 2: Add veggies, tortellini and spices and cook covered till soft (about 10-15 minutes)

Step 3: Add chicken and let simmer covered for another 30 minutes.

Step 4: Salt and Pepper to taste.

HOMEMADE TEXAS CHILI & TRUFFLE MAC ‘n CHEESE

Adams' Family Fall Recipes: Homemade Texas Chili

2 tablespoons cumin seeds
8 ounces bacon (chopped)
3 pounds beef chuck, cut into 1⁄4-inch cubes
2 onions (chopped)
1⁄4 cup Homemade Chili Powder
2 teaspoons sweet paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1⁄2 teaspoon dried thyme

1⁄2 teaspoon salt
4 large cloves garlic, minced
1 3⁄4 cups beef broth
1 (28-ounce) can pureed tomatoes
2 dried ancho chiles, stemmed and seeded
1 box Kraft Mac ‘n Cheese
1 package of HEB’s truffle butter (found in the dairy section)

Step 1: Toast the cumin seeds in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 1 to 2 minutes. Using a metal or wooden tool with a flat surface, crush the seeds coarsely. Set aside.

Step 2: Cook the bacon in the skillet over medium-high heat until crisp. Remove the bacon and reserve.

Step 3: Over high heat, brown the beef in the bacon drippings left in the skillet and set the meat aside.

Step 4: Over medium heat, sauté the onions in the remaining drippings until lightly browned, 8 to 10 minutes.

Step 5: Add the toasted cumin, chili powder, paprika, oregano, black pepper, thyme, salt, and garlic to the cooked onions and sauté for 1 minute. Crumble in the bacon, add the beef broth, 1 cup of water, the tomatoes, ancho chiles, and the beef.

Step 6: Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover partially, and simmer until the meat is very tender, about 2 hours, adding water as needed to maintain desired consistency. Alternatively, transfer to a slow-cooker set on low and cook for at least 6 hours and up to 8 hours, until the meat is very tender.

Step 7: Remove the anchos, puree in a blender, and return to the pot. Serve in a bowl with chopped onions and shredded cheese, with saltines, over tamales, rice or potatoes, in a Frito Pie, combined with beans or our personal favorite, over truffle mac ‘n cheese.

Step 8: Truffle Mac ‘n Cheese: follow the directions on the back of the Kraft box. Once fully cooked, add one spoonful of the truffle butter and mix thoroughly until dissolved. Serve with chili.

October Top Ten

And just like that it’s November 1st and approximately 54 days until Christmas but who’s counting;) October’s top ten purchased items by all of you were not a shock to me at all but it’s safe to say you girls love (and I mean LOVE) your designer dupes!

In addition to designer dupes, I saw a trend with cozy, affordable items as well as clothing items that you could wear with over the knee boots. Speaking of over the knee boots, these have been a top seller now for three months in a row and I’m so excited to announce that the brand finally gave me a discount code for my followers! It is CHIC40 and will get you 40% off. Grab em at this price while you can ladies! If you enjoy these types of post and are curious about how I obtain this data and track sales on the back end, scroll down to the bottom of this post for more information on that!

NOW PRESENTING… OCTOBER TOP TEN!

October Top Ten

You girls love your dupes! This Hermés bracelet dupe was the number one selling item but the famous Gucci belt dupe was a close second as well as all of the David Yurman dupes. I’m linking all of them below!

October Top Ten

Not only do I love love love these boots, I’ve received an overwhelming amount of good feedback on these AND I just got a 40% off discount code for my followers – CHIC40! The best way for me to describe them is almost like a stretchy scuba material. They are the only pair of boots that actually stay up on my legs because they are so stretchy, but do not stretch out. I can wear them with leggings, pants and even bare legged- they always stay up!

They do run on the small side so I suggest sizing up at least a half size, full size if you plan to wear thicker socks. I got my true size (European 38 and I wear a true 7.5). They fit very snug. I’ve seen them on girls under 5″ and those over 6″ and they work for all heights! Also, I highly suggest expedited shipping if you want to receive them sooner than 4-6 weeks. I cannot sing these boots praises enough and yes I did pay for them myself and this is not sponsored:)

October Top Ten

Leopard everything is flying off of the shelves this season! This sweater is under $20 + is BOGO 50% off right now. I suggest grabbing it and the other top seller below (this sweater) before the promotion ends! I am wearing an XS (my true size) as I wanted something more fitted but if you want a loser fit, I suggest sizing up!

Plaid Shirt Dress

This knotted shirt dress has been on and off sale all month and when it is, you ladies have been grabbing it up! The unexpected knot in the front gives it a little something extra. I have paired it with over the knee boots and also with a cardigan and booties! It runs true to size and comes in a few other styles as well. All are currently 25% off. Linking all below!

October Top Ten

Basic Tee

This $15 basic tee is a must for layering! I own it in all 4 colors and wear them almost daily, especially the striped ones. I love pattern mixing with the striped ones. The easiest prints to mix with them are leopard and plaid! Bring in the other pattern with a scarf, belt or booties! Linking some pattern play options below.

October Top Ten

This fuzzy pullover has been 40% off all month! It has sold out multiple times and been restocked. If they still have it in your size, I suggest grabbing it ASAP before they decide not to restock it again. I sized up to a small so I could wear it with leggings but I will say it already runs oversized to begin with! What makes this fuzzy pullover different from others ones I’ve seen is that the inside is the exact same material as the outside so talk about cozy central! Since Express keeps having good sales, going to list a few of the other top sellers from there below.

How to Style Overalls

After doing my “How to Style Overalls” blog post, I’m surprised these overalls aren’t sold out yet because y’all bought the crap out of them! I obviously have a thing for overalls and these are so good. I love the slim fit and raw hem. They do run on the smaller side so if in between sizes, size up! I got a 25 but honestly could have done a 26! They are currently 25% off. I am also linking a cheaper pair if you aren’y ready to pull the trigger yet on these.

Fall Work Wear

These high waisted ankle pants sky rocketed to the top of the leader board last month and placed in the top ten this month too. It’s safe to say that Work Wear Wednesdays are not dead and I will be bringing you ladies lot’s more before the year is over! While these pants come in 8 colors, unfortunately there is very limited sizing left. I suggest sizing down if in between sizes as I tend to think Express runs on the bigger side.

October Top Ten

These cotton, $15 leggings were a huge hit! They run true to size.

October Top Ten

This sweater dress is actually a sweater that I sized up to make a dress! I suggest sizing up two sizes. I am normally an XS and got the medium in both of these! The dress comes in 8 colors, is just $29 and is currently included in a BOGO 50% off sale. I suggest grabbing this as well as the other Target top seller (this sweater).

And as a reminder on how I obtain the monthly top ten data…

I use an affiliate program called rewardStyle. This means that if you click on any link- whether it be from my Instagram or blog- that takes you to a product page on a retailer’s site and rewardStyle is able to track that it originated from me. Some affiliate programs will pay the influencer for every click that they generate from their site. RewardStyle pays per purchase made. This means that if you click on one of my links and then end up purchasing that item, I will get a small commission (usually between 7-12%).  Many bloggers use this same program as part of their revenue source.

Because I use this service I do have access to data analytics. This means I can track what items are clicked on and purchased. I cannot see who clicked on them or what other items might have been purchased. For example, if you click on my Target sweater dress link and then purchase a swimsuit and a top in the same transaction, I will only be able to see that a purchase was made and that the dress link is how you got to the retailer’s site.

These analytics are incredibly important to me because it allows me to see what all of you are liking. At the end of the day, this little blog business of mine is meant to be a resource for all of you so having the ability to track and measure each product’s success is invaluable. Coming from a Finance background, I tend to geek out over the analytics side of it as I find it incredibly intriguing what all of you are liking, buying and clicking on the most! It gets my gears turning because I genuinely want to bring you products that you are going to love and want to buy (at the right price point of course)!

Like I mentioned, this little blog is a full time business for me which means I am so appreciative when you choose to click and shop through my links – whether that be on Instagram or the blog. I have poured everything I have into being a resource for all of you so that hopefully it makes your life a little bit easier. I know that shopping through my links is an extra step for you, but please know it makes all the difference to me. It is how I am able to continue sharing great deals, try on sessions, and everything else. O and it allows me to pay my bills 🙂

All of that is to say, shopping through my links does not cost you anything additional (the item is the same price), the retailer will just pay me a small cut since I am the one that referred you. Please know I am so thankful when you choose to shop through my links and give me credit for helping you score a great find!
