Happy Halloween friends! I decided to forgo the normal fashion post and bring you a fun, holiday themed post instead. My roommates and I celebrated Halloween a little early this past weekend and decided to throw a last minute costume party. Obviously no halloween party would be complete without a little bit of party punch, but halloween themed for the occasion of course!

Since this party idea was super last minute, we wanted something fast and easy to be able to serve for drinks. Disclaimer: you will have to look past the horrible lighting of these pictures. I can assure you that the quality of the drinks are much more enticing and my excuse is that these pictures happened after a few drinks and I decided I had to share this creation with all of you. Que me throwing a couple of halloween decorations together and pouring our concoction from a red solo cup to a martini glass (because that just looks way more classy), and you have an easy 3 ingredient witches brew halloween party punch!

3 Ingredients:

  1. 2 quarts of lime sherbet
  2. 2  (2) liter bottles of ginger ale or sprite (diet version if you would like it to be less sweet)
  3. 1 cup of Vodka (optional)

Pour your 2 bottles of ginger ale or sprite into a large bowl. We opted to use a festive cauldron that we picked up from Walmart for less than $5. Slowly stir in your sherbet. Break up the sherbet chunks as much as possible. Depending on how strong you would like your punch, start adding in your vodka. I suggest 1 cup and then it is up to your discretion after that!

And there you have it folks, it could not be any easier! On a side note I would love to hear what you are doing for Halloween. Since I celebrated this weekend, you will most likely find me curled up on the couch watching Hocus Pocus. If you are needing any last minute costume ideas, you can find my last minute DIY “Where’s Waldo” costume that I made on my Instagram. I will also link everything you need to recreate the outfit below. Also, one of my good friends, Dawn from Dawn. P Darnell blog, rounded up the best DIY costumes here. If you waited until the last minute like me, you will definitely want to give those a look. Be safe tonight and happy Halloween friends!

Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

With Valentine’s Day less than a week away I am devoting this week entirely to gift ideas and outfit inspiration. Wether you’ve been dating for 10 years or 10 days I tried to pick out gifts that would fit both ends of the spectrum. I’m writing this as I watch the Super Bowl, and I say “watch” with the loosest definition possible. Is it still considered watching if you’re strictly watching the commercials and half time show and then blogging during the game? I vote yes. Who knew a Super Bowl party would be the perfect place to hold a Valentine’s Gift guide survey? My sweet friends were more than willing to help me out. I asked them “What would you want for Valentine’s Day?”.Their suggestions consisted of answers like “myself”, “chocolate”, “commitment”, “a million dollars”…. thanks guys!! Not entirely helpful but I guess that’s what I get for interrupting cute puppy commercials! 🙂

Metallic Bodycon Dress.

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

New Year’s Eve is upon us and I wanted to share another easy look for the festive night! I picked up this dress last year from Forever 21 for under $30 and its still a crowd favorite. If you are over the sequins, metallic is the next best thing!

Pairing your outfit with a statement clutch is sure to add that extra touch!

Dress (similar, only $18) // Coat // Shoes // Clutch (similar)

I can’t get over the fact that these heels are from Target! They are very similar to more expensive pairs that I have been coveting at 1/3 of the price. The earrings that I am wearing are actually my grandmothers that I have always admired that she gifted me on my 21st birthday. I’m not usually a fan of hoops but this pair stole my heart! My suggestions for a stunner New Year’s Eve outfit are to avoid the sequins this year, and instead go for a classier look. If wearing a bold dress, pair it with a simple, classic shoe like I did here. If you are wanting to let the shoes do the talking, pair it with a simple dress like this. Whatever you choose, make sure your most festive accessory is your champagne 🙂 CHEERS!

Edgy Chic.

We’ve barely recovered from all of the craziness of Christmas and already it’s time to turn our attention to New Year’s. Most of my style is usually very girly, and black is not a common color found in my closet, but this little number was the perfect combination of edgy and chic.

This shade of MAC lipstick (found here) has been my go to for a bold lip color this season.

Dress (newer version) // Shoes (similar) // Jacket (similar) // Earrings // Clutch (similar)

This dress is from Free People last year and is actually a slip that I paired with another solid black slip underneath (found here). Since New Year’s Eve is usually a little chilly (and I say usually because Houston hasn’t been getting the cold memo), I thought that this adorable faux fur coat was the perfect festive piece to go with. To me, New Year’s Eve is all about bringing in the new year in style. Make your outfit fun by adding in something that sparkles or pops!
