Beaded V-neck Dress.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! I wanted to share with you another festive, holiday inspired look that I will be wearing for dinner and church tonight. I scored this cute dress at Express on black Friday a few weeks back and unfortunately they are now sold out of it but I have linked a few similar options below.

You can find similar options in varying colors to the dress I am wearing herehere, and here. I paired this look with a scarf I had from last year to keep my shoulders warm. If you have any oversized scarves they work very well as a shaw or even poncho since that trend is very big this season!

Happy holidays everyone! I really hope that you enjoy these few days with friends, family, and loved ones and that you remember the reason for the season…that JESUS was born! And from that, a beautiful story of how we would all become to be saved. Merry Christmas and may you be blessed today and always!

Suede Skirt and Beaded Sleeves.

One of the many reasons I love the holidays is all of the festive outfits. I know there are lots of holiday parties and events around this time of year so I wanted to put together an easy look that you can wear for many occasions. I wore something very similar to this for a nice Christmas dinner recently.

Skirt (similar) // Clutch // Heels

Unfortunately I could not find this blouse to link up since I got it last year after Christmas from Zara. Some other fun options for tops to go with this look are herehere, and here. Outfits like this are so much fun because color gets brought into the ensemble with the details. Since both my top and skirt are solid colors, this gave me the ability to have fun with the details. That means a bold lip color (MAC– “Captive”), statement clutch and jewelry! Very rarely will you find me without color in my outfit so if it’s not in the actual outfit you bet you will find it in the details! Adding in pops of color to your outfit can really make a difference in the overall appeal of an outfit. One of the best compliments I have received so far was from a coworker that told me I was her style inspiration because I always added color into my wardrobe and she wanted to start doing the same. I love when I can help someone else dress better, and overall make them feel better about their outward appearance! 🙂

Happy Holidays! Only 3 more sleeps until Santa comes!

Crepes and Graphic Tees.

On the weekends there is a 99% chance you can find me in a graphic tee, and we will raise that to 100% if I’m going to brunch on Sunday because I have so many cute brunch tees! If I am being honest, most of the time that I wear a graphic tee I throw on blue jeans, converse, and my hair into a top knot because it is just so comfy. There are definitely many ways to dress up a graphic tee as well and I plan on doing another post soon on how to “dress up” a graphic tee different ways. My friend Margret (from Style The Girl) and I met up for crepes at Sweet Paris in Rice Village. For all of you that do not know me I have a serious crepe addiction. Sadly its actually one of the only foods that I can make but I just LOVE them! Do these pictures not make you want to just eat a crepe?!

Shirt //Jeans //Boots (newer version) // Vest (similar)

My obsession with graphic tees totally stems from Target. They have the best selection that I have seen so far and for every single occasion! Plus you can’t beat their prices! I don’t think I have paid more than $15 dollars for a single one of my shirts from there. I know they are trendy but they are just so darn cute and comfy, not to mention the easiest thing to throw on with jeans on the weekend! Another good place to find graphic tees is on Etsy. They have EVERYTHING! Any quote that you want on a shirt, they have got it for you.

Happy Christmas week guys! 🙂

Poncho (similar) // Shoes (similar) //Jeans // Clutch // Hat // Necklace

Can you tell we danced in the rain a bit getting these pictures in?! My hat is proof of it! A cold front blew through Houston and I immediately pulled out this cute poncho that is more like a blanket because it is so soft! All I did was throw on a casual black top and jeans and let the poncho do the talking for this outfit. I dressed the outfit up a bit more with a winter hat, booties and accessories. I picked up these cute, gold bracelets at the Houston Nutcracker Market and have been wearing them on repeat since they literally go with everything! As always (or so my blog would tell) maroon and winter hats are a season favorite of mine that keep popping up in my attire. You know it’s bad when you have to tell yourself you aren’t allowed to wear hats with every single outfit. Oops! Every other one is totally acceptable though right? 😉

Happy Christmas week and enjoy your weekend!
