With so many good sales going on right now and the warmer getting warmer (hello 100 degree Houston heat), I thought it was the perfect time to share some Spring dresses that won’t break the break. All LOFT dresses are currently $49 or 50% off the original price and Old Navy is having 30% off. LOFT has so many dresses that will work for both work or play which are my favorite type of purchases because I know I will get so many wears out of them! See below for 25 Spring dresses that I’ve had my eye on and stay tuned next week for an entire post on Spring wedding guest dress options. Use the arrows on either side of each dress to scroll through all 25 dress options.
Although the official Pantone color of the year is technically purple, yellow is in full force in just about every store you see. I didn’t even realize how much I was drawn to this color until a recent online order showed up and i’m not kidding when I say the entire box was yellow! I was determined I couldn’t pull off this particular color, but you’d be surprised what a little bit of self tanner does for a yellow outfit and frankly for the soul as well 😉 This is the self tanner I’ve been using and loving so far! I get the dark shade, apply it with a mitt, sleep with it on, and wash it off in the morning!
If you aren’t convinced that you can rock yellow quite yet, adding in a little color with your accessories is a good place to start. Especially if you are a neutral girl, these earrings or cute espadrilles (true to size) would instantly take your muted outfit to Spring time cutie! See below for more accessories and yellow crushes.
After getting several requests from you ladies on where to find straw bags under $50, I thought it was about time to share the good news. It is actually easier than you think to find an on trend bag on a budget. I have not tried any of these bags out myself yet but all of the ones that I found have amazing reviews (make sure you read them too!). This trend was around last year and I honestly don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon. So if you’ve had your eye on one but don’t want to fork out an arm and leg, here are some for all budgets!
It’s that time of the year to stock up on Spring trends and what better way than to score brand new items at 25% off? Sign me up! I’m talking popular designers like Free People, Madewell, Sam Edelman, Levi’s, Agolde, and so many more! The two retailers below are having 20-25% off right now and so I’ve rounded up some of my favorite items based on trends that I am currently loving.
4/10 – 4/14 | 20% off orders under $500, 25% off orders over $500 with codeEVENT18
To get the best savings, you have to spend over $500. I highly suggest going in together with friends or family to reach that $500 mark. While that sounds like a lot to spend, there are several investment pieces in my own closet that I wish I had scored at 25% off. See below for the items from the sale that are already in my closet.
Yesterday marked the first day of Spring which means that a Spring reset or refresh is in order. I personally am currently in the process of purging my closet, selling and donating old items, and making room for all the new goodies! I guess you could say Spring cleaning is in full effect. Instead of just buying new items for the new season I make myself purge the old first. Not only does this help declutter my overpacked closet, it reminds me what pieces I might have overlooked and bring those out of hiding.
Purge the old– Obviously don’t get rid of everything but definitely purge items that are “so last season” or trendy items you don’t feel like are going to be around again this season.
Keep the classics– Those pieces that you wear on repeat and sometimes even pull out of the dirty clothes hamper because they are just that good. Think solid color slacks, blouses and shoes.
Add in new pieces– My motto is for every 3-4 pieces I get rid of, I can purchase 1 new item. The key with buying new items is to error on the side of classic rather than trendy as these pieces will last you longer. That being said, I do always treat myself to a couple trendy items for the season, I just tend to spend less on these since I know they will inevitably end up in the donate pile next season.
If you are looking to refresh your workwear wardrobe this season, now is the time to add in some color! Granted you don’t have to go full on Easter egg mode like I did, but you could easily wear these pink pants with a neutral colored top, or this striped sweater with navy slacks and accomplish a more Spring styled work outfit. Make sure to size down in the pants (I’m wearing a 00P) and since the sweater only comes in petite sizing, make sure to size up (I’m wearing a SP). If you get one thing from this post, I highly suggest my neutral suede pumps that I wear in almost every single Work Wear Wednesday post. They go with every single outfit you could imagine and are more comfortable than 99% of my flats. See below for a few of my favorite Spring office outfit refresh picks that are all 40% off today!
