Happy Monday friends! I am so excited to be partnering with Abercrombie & Fitch today to share some of my favorite pieces from their Holiday collection and give my honest review on three of their most popular parkas (Ultra, Sherpa, and Nylon).
It’s no secret Abercrombie has worked it’s way back into my wardrobe over the past year and it’s been my mission to convert all of you ladies too. Well I’d say mission accomplished because I cannot tell you how many times a day I get messages thanking me for reintroducing you ladies to one of the retailers we frequented back in the day. I can tell you for the amount of Abercrombie that I own at this point, my high school self sure would be proud! If you have yet to see what all of the Abercrombie hype is about, wait until you see these outfits I put together with their Holiday collection- they are some of my favorite pieces yet!
Before we get started breaking down each piece, I want to talk about sizing. Abercrombie sizing is very true to size. I very rarely have to size up in anything! For the parkas they run on the bigger side but I suggest getting your true size so you can layer underneath. If you plan to really bundle up underneath, I might suggest sizing up but otherwise they run true to size! As for tops and skirts, I wear an XS and a 25 in their jeans.
ULTRA PARKA
I picked up the Ultra Parka last year before my trip to Chicago and it ended up being my favorite coat that I have ever owned. The fur vest inside is detachable so it can be worn by itself or as an extra layer inside. This coat is great for different climates since the amount of warmth can be adjusted by adding in or taking out the vest.
Without the vest, I’d say it’s great for temps between 45-65 degrees and anything colder than that I would add the vest back in! Now let’s talk about the vest because it’s probably my favorite part of the jacket! The “Green“ and “Black” color options will most certainly sell out first as the fur vest in these is *in my opinion* the best. It looks very expensive and because of the color can be worn with black, brown or grey boots. See one of the ways I’d style the vest below.
This coat has 4 pockets, a fur hood and adjustable drawstrings on the waist and bottom of the jacket. It also has a zipper and button closure.
Parka // Shirt // Overalls // Boots // Beanie
Flannel Shirt: A staple piece for the cooler weather that can be worn so many different ways. Tied in a cute knot in the front, open with a shirt underneath or tied around your waist. It comes in 10 color options but these 4 are my personal favorite. The ones on the far left and right will also be great for the holiday season to layer under sweaters and sweatshirts so that they peak out at the collar and sleeve. I sized up to a small for a more oversized look. If you want more of a fitted look, get your true size.
Overalls: I own the left and middle pair and they are both top sellers for the blog. The black is more form fitting and stretchy while the middle and right pairs are a looser, boyfriend fit. I suggest sizing up in the black pair. The boyfriend overalls fit oversized but run true to size. I’ve styled both pairs for warm and cold weather. Check out my Instagram for more inspiration.
Here is one way to style the vest on it’s own. This look would be cute for holiday pictures or a holiday party!
Abercrombie’s mini skirt collection is amazing right now. I’ve been on a skirt kick since Houston hasn’t cooled off enough for full on Winter mode. I’ve paired all of these skirts with everything from sock booties to riding boots to over the knee boots. I have found that their skirts run on the bigger side but I usually still get my true size for length purposes. If you are in between sizes though, I suggest sizing down.
SHERPA MILITARY PARKA
Maybe it’s because I’m sherpa obsessed or maybe because this parka comes in the 4 most beautiful colors but this Sherpa Military Parka is so good y’all! The entire inside is lined with sherpa making it extremely cozy and warm. This jacket has two pockets, a fur hood, and adjustable drawstrings on the waist and bottom. While all 4 colors are gorgeous, I anticipate the “Navy Blue“ and “Olive Green“ will sell out first as they are usually more popular colors.
Parka // Sweater // Skirt // Boots // Beanie
Boucle Sweater: I loved this sweater so much I paid full price for it and that’s saying a lot because I rarely pay full price for anything! It fits a little oversized but I suggest getting your true size. Notice I’ve styled it with a skirt above and jeans below!
SHINY NYLON PARKA
The Shiny Nylon Parka is the most heavy duty parka out of the three. This coat is definitely made for a cold climate with it’s heavy duty material, warm lining, and long length. I like that this coat his a cinching effect on the sleeves and zippers on the sleeve and bottom of the coat- added details like this give it something special! Other details include two hand pockets, a fur hood and a adjustable drawstring on the bottom of the coat. It comes in two beautiful colors!
Parka // Sweater // Jeans // Beanie // Boots
Beanies: I own number one and two and always get so many compliments. Finding fashionable and practical beanies can be tough but these check both boxes! The two in the middle are going to be your warmest and the two on the outside are more for show since they are a knit material.
Scarves: I own several scarves from Abercrombie and I can vouch that they are top notch. They are pretty big and very warm! They have lots of colors and fabrics but these are my favorites!
Buffalo Check Poncho: I own the red and black and always get so many compliments! It is perfect for the holiday season and looks so cute paired with a striped tee like this.
HOLIDAY PAJAMAS
I couldn’t end this post without mentioning that Abercrombie has arguably the biggest and best holiday pajama selection that alway sells out so fast. I already picked up these flannel ones and also this jogger set. Both run true to size and are beyond cozy!
Pajamas // Mug // Blanket // Pillow // Boots
Sleepwear: Everything from pajamas to robes to slippers! Everything fits true to size and will sell out well before Christmas so I suggest stocking up early!
