Dress: Abercrombie // Jacket: Abercrombie // Bag: Abercrombie // Shoes: DSW

Y’all know my love runs deep for Abercrombie lately and their new Spring arrivals are probably my favorite to date. So many cute styles and even cuter prints! Bring on all of the dresses, mini skirts and shorts now that the warmer weather is *hopefully* here to stay.

With Easter around the corner, Abercrombie has so many colorful style options that would be perfect for the occasion. If you are new (or coming full circle) to shopping at Abercrombie, their selection mixes trendy pieces with classic styles that are appropriate for all ages and sizes. Sizing wise, I have found Abercrombie to run very true to size and they also offer petite and tall length options. I typically wear an XS in tops and dresses and a 25 in their denim which is the best affordable denim that I own I might add.

If you have anything sitting in your online cart, Abercrombie is having 25% off select items plus free shipping over $75 today! Check out some of my favorite items from their new Spring and Summer arrivals below as well as some of my all time favorite pieces.

Dress: Nordstrom | Shoes: Nordstrom

Spring has officially sprung and with that seems to come ALL of the events. And with all of the events comes all of the must have Spring event wear. Whether you have upcoming weddings, showers, parties or vacations, Nordstrom is your one stop shop for event wear and I’m sharing why they are always my go to destination.

No matter the occasion, Nordstrom is always the first place that I hit up. Their selection is by far the largest and nothing beats free shipping and returns. I feel a little less guilty purchasing multiple options for my event (whether it be multiple sizes or multiple styles), because I know whichever ones don’t work out can easily be returned. I also recently discovered their buy online and pick up in store option which is actually how I purchased all of the above items. It is a game changer.

Picture this: it’s noon and you realize you have nothing to wear for your event at 8 pm. Panic sets in. Then you remember you can hop on over to nordstrom.com, pick out a dress, and then pick it up in a couple of hours. Instantly relief. I can’t tell you how many times this has saved me. All you have to do is filter your online selection by your local Nordstrom address and it will only show you what is available in store.

Something that I also want to point out about Nordstrom during event season is that they have free alterations. All of my fellow petite girls can rejoice! I almost always have to have my dresses hemmed so this little perk is amazing. Want to hear something even better? It doesn’t even have to be from Nordstrom for them to alter it for free. That means bridesmaids dresses! I personally feel like Katherine Heigl from 27 dresses with the amount of weddings that I have been in. I’ve gone to Nordstrom every time I’ve needed one altered and I’ve even had a formal gown altered into a cocktail dress so that I could wear it again. To make an appointment, just go to their website, alterations are quick & easy!

Since I know Nordstrom’s site is a little overwhelming to new users, I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite brands that I always check out for more affordable event wear. You can click on any of the below brands to shop their current event wear and then see below for my personal picks for spring dresses, jumpsuits and accessories!

With so many good sales going on right now and the warmer getting warmer (hello 100 degree Houston heat), I thought it was the perfect time to share some Spring dresses that won’t break the break. All LOFT dresses are currently $49 or 50% off the original price and Old Navy is having 30% off. LOFT has so many dresses that will work for both work or play which are my favorite type of purchases because I know I will get so many wears out of them!  See below for 25 Spring dresses that I’ve had my eye on and stay tuned next week for an entire post on Spring wedding guest dress options. Use the arrows on either side of each dress to scroll through all 25 dress options.

Dress: Saltflat | Heels: Target | Clutch: Gigi NY | Lipstick: MAC “Diva”

Going to keep this short and sweet because it’s Friday and we all just want to get straight to the point, am I right?! I’ve been searching the internet all week to find the best sales on dresses that could be worn to a holiday event or wedding whether it’s dressy or casual! See below for my top picks under $100 or under $50! My dress (just $72) from Saltflat is an identical dupe of the Self Portrait dress for over $500! While a girl can dream, she can also be saving her pretty pennies on something more affordable (like MORE Chick-fil-a!), especially when the dupe is that good.

Several of my favorite dress retailers are already having great pre-Black Friday sales. I’m talking almost giving stuff away! ASOS and H&M are two of my go-to affordable dress shops and both are having up to 60% off right now. If you want a “splurge-worthy” dress but on major sale right now, Nordstrom or Express is where it’s at. Nordstrom is having up to 40% off and Express is having 40% off + $25 off of $100!

Under $100

Under $50

And I know no outfit is complete without the perfect accessories so don’t worry I got you girl 🙂 If you already have a dress and want to make it new, a new pair of shoes, bag and jewelry is the way to go! Linking several affordable options for you ladies!

One Shoulder Ruffle Dress + A Travel Update

Dress: Bloomingdales | Shoes (under $50): Sam Edelman | Purse: Sam Edelman | Sunglasses: Karen Walker

Hi friends! I’ve been a little MIA around here since I dropped my big news. Did you see it?! If not, you can find out all about my 4 big life changes going on here. I’m going to keep today’s post short and sweet because there is a lot to come in the next few weeks and I don’t want to burn you out. That being said, I wanted to give a little update on my travel plans. I guess I should say OUR travel plans because mama decided to crash the party and so it has now turned into a mother-daughter trip!

Our first stop of the trip is a short one to Boston for less than 24 hours and then we are headed to Nantucket for two days. From there we are flying to Copenhagen! After a crazy few days at New York Fashion Week, I can’t wait to relax and sight see in Massachusetts as it is my first time here. If you have any recommendations for us, please send them my way!

On to this dress because it’s a great one for Nantucket and the beach. If I wasn’t already sold on the stripes, it has pockets and the most flattering one shoulder. Sam Edelman got me on a yellow kick after sending me this bag. It might be the high school hero in me but I always seem to pair yellow and blue together, especially when it comes to nautical blue stripes.

I will be keeping to my usual Monday, Wednesday, Friday posting schedule on the blog and if you want to see more of my travels, don’t forget to follow along on Instagram. Make sure to check back here on Friday for a sneak peak of all of my outfits that I took to New York Fashion Week!
