TILI x It’s All Chic To Me

Tili It's All Chic To Me December Box

I have been compensated by QVC for this post, but all thoughts, designs, and opinions are my own!

Eeeek! The day is FINALLY here and it legit feels like Christmas morning! I am so excited to announce my collaboration with QVC to create my very own TILI beauty box for all of you! TILI is QVC’s monthly beauty subscription box and it stands for for Try It, Love It which is the perfect name for it being that this box makes it super easy for you to try new and trending beauty products before deciding if you want to invest in the full price item. One of my very favorite parts of my job is being able to sample a wide variety of fun products so if you are anything like me, you will absolutely love this box that get’s delivered to your front door every month with eight amazing beauty items. While it is a subscription box, there is no risk in joining the program as you can cancel it whenever you would like!

And I might be a little bias, but this is the best box to date being that it has TWO full price beauty products in it and the entire box costs less than one of those items!! You read that right. The entire box is just $25 and I’m sharing all of the details below on why I picked each of these items to be in my box!

CLICK HERE to purchase the TILI x IT’S ALL CHIC TO ME December box for just $25! New users can apply code TAKE10 for $10 off making it just $15!

Tili It's All Chic To Me December Box

Can we take a moment to first talk about what the actual box looks like?! When QVC asked me to design the box, I knew I wanted to make it cute enough to put directly under the Christmas tree or to give as a gift- no wrapping paper needed! I am confident that any girl in your life- bestie, sister, mom, or MIL- would absolutely love to receive this gift box this holiday season.

Tili It's All Chic To Me December Box

Now let’s get down to what is in the box. You will be receiving eight products in your TILI subscription box (Elemis Oxygenating Night Cream not pictured). These will be a mix of full and travel sized items. I’m over the moon that I was able to select not one, but TWO full sized items for you girls that I personally can’t live without. With the total price of the box being just $25, you are basically getting an entire box of goodies for free since the price of one of these full sized items normally costs more than the entire price of the box! So let’s start with the two full sized items shall we?

Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Mist

I’ve raved about this tanning product for close to a year now as it has quickly become one of my favorite products. Most tanning products have a terrible smell but this one is completely odorless! While that is a plus in itself, it is also clear in color and does not transfer onto clothing or bedding AND you don’t even have to shower it off. This product is sprayed directly onto the skin and rubbed in with a tanning mitt. Results can be seen in 6-8 hours and it gives a very natural glow. You will be receiving shade medium which is the perfect shade for both fair and darker skin tones as it is a gradual tanning product and the more you use, the darker your tan will be. This product alone is typically $28.

IT Cosmetics BYE BYE PORES Pressed Powder

Do you have issues with your make up getting greasy or oily throughout the day? This translucent powder is going to change your life! The purpose of a translucent powder is to set your make up and give you that airbrushed finished look all day long. The powder form is going to lock in your make up and also absorb any excess oil throughout the day. It comes with a sponge applicator although I prefer to use a damp beauty blender to apply it over my concealer and then I use a brush for all over my face post foundation! While I usually only have to apply this in the morning, I’ll sometimes throw it in my bag to powder my nose throughout the day if I know it’s going to be a long day and I want my make up to stay looking fresh. This product alone is typically $29.

Clinique Moisture Surge

I’ve used this product off and on over the years and always wonder why I stop. It’s SO good and personally is my favorite when I’m traveling as it really does do exactly what the name says. It packs a large hydration punch which I find is much needed after traveling and in the winter months. It has a somewhat gel like consistency and immediately absorbs into the skin. You will want to throw this one in your travel bag for sure!

Caj Beauty Voluminzing Finishing Spray

I feel like one of those products I always need but never seem to have on hand is hair spray. I love this one because it also doubles as a voluminizing spray plus it is vanilla scented. The scent is not too strong but does smell good! The travel size makes it easy if you do not want to check a bag when you travel.

SuperSmile Professional Whitening System

I’m really excited about this product because it actually works! I’ve tried so many different teeth whitening products over the years and this is the first that I can say fits into my lifestyle. Any other product I have tried requires hours of bleaching your teeth through strips or trays, whereas this is a daily toothpaste so the results are more gradual but still very effective. The kit comes with a toothpaste and an accelerator which are both applied directly to your tooth brush and then you simply brush your teeth like normal.

Soon Strawberry Lip Mask with Collagen

This is another favorite of mine that I got to put in the box that I know you girls will love. It is a single use lip mask and if you’ve never used a lip mask you are missing out! Especially during the colder months, this one is great because it hydrates and moisturizes your lips. I don’t know about you girls but I hate having dry, cracked lips during the holidays when I’m trying to rock a bold lipstick!

Too Faced Damn Girl! Mascara

This mascara was a newer product for me to try out. Not going to lie the cute packaging was what got my attention at first but the actual mascara is even better! The applicator brush is super thick leaving your lashes voluminous and the closest thing false lashes you are going to it. Plus it’s travel sized!

June Top Ten

We are back for another monthly round up of the most purchased items from the previous month. I always love these posts because I enjoy seeing which items you ladies loved the most and which ones took a back seat. I always want to make sure that I bring you the best content and sale round ups so looking over this data for trending items, categories and retailers helps me plan similar content for the next month and hopefully you enjoy seeing behind the scenes a little bit too!

The past couple of months I have started sharing more of my Amazon and QVC finds and I’d say by the number of top sellers from these places you ladies are definitely loving them too! That certainly doesn’t mean that I will stop sharing my favorite items from places like NordstromAbercrombieRevolve and Old Navy!

To shop any of the below items, simply click on the picture and it will take you to the retailers site to purchase! Also, if you enjoy these types of post and are curious about how I obtain this data and track sales on the back end, scroll down to the bottom of this post for more information on that!

Top Ten Purchased Items

10. Walmart Maxi Dress

Walmart Dress

This $16 maxi dress has placed in the top ten for several months! It is insanely soft, has pockets, adjustable straps and comes in 10 colors! It runs true to size.

6. Pearl Headband

Amazon Pearl Headband

These pearl headbands have been ALL of the rage right now. The one I have is a $25 dupe for the $150 Lele Sadoughi headbands. I also found a $1 Amazon option that has great reviews from other bloggers. I REPEAT ONE DOLLAR!!

5. Amazon Dress

Amazon Cocktail Dress

I still can’t believe this dress is from Amazon! It’s SO good and under $30! I have the lavender color but it comes in about 10 gorgeous colors. It runs true to size. I’m wearing the small but could have done an XS.

4. Amazon Swimsuit

A top seller for months now, this $25 scalloped bikini is the cutest thing and best quality too. The top is padded and the material is SO soft. Overall it has amazing coverage and comes in several colors. Size up! I am typically a XS and got the small.

3. Slip SIlk Pillowcase

Silk Pillowcase Review

Ever since I found my silk pillowcase on TJMaxx’s website for over 50% off, y’all went crazy! They are a bit of a splurge and never go on sale so finding them at 50% off is a steal! If you haven’t read my post on why I will never go back to a cotton pillowcase and the benefits for your hair and skin, read it here.

2. MicroDermMD System

The best at home microdermabrasion product! Such a great remedy for exfoliating, removing dry skin and dirt as well as smoothing. Forgo two facials and invest in this! So much more bang for your buck.

1. Isle of Paradise Tanning Kit

These tanning drops are all the rage right now and are constantly selling out at retailers. I use shade dark and add it to my face moisturizer 2-3 times a week! If you are new to QVC you can use TAKE5 for $5 off.

And as a reminder on how I obtain the monthly top ten data…

I use an affiliate program called rewardStyle. This means that if you click on any link- whether it be from my Instagram, Liketoknow.it app or blog- that takes you to a product page on a retailer’s site and rewardStyle is able to track that it originated from me. Some affiliate programs will pay the influencer for every click that they generate from their site. RewardStyle pays per purchase made. This means that if you click on one of my links and then end up purchasing that item, I will get a small commission (usually between 7-12%).  Many bloggers use this same program as part of their revenue source.

Because I use this service I do have access to data analytics. This means I can track what items are clicked on and purchased. I cannot see who clicked on them or what other items might have been purchased. For example, if you click on my Gucci Belt link and then purchase a swimsuit and a top in the same transaction, I will only be able to see that a purchase was made and that the belt link is how you got to the retailer’s site.

These analytics are incredibly important to me because it allows me to see what all of you are liking. At the end of the day, this little blog business of mine is meant to be a resource for all of you so having the ability to track and measure each product’s success is invaluable. Coming from a Finance background, I tend to geek out over the analytics side of it as I find it incredibly intriguing what all of you are liking, buying and clicking on the most! It gets my gears turning because I genuinely want to bring you products that you are going to love and want to buy (at the right price point of course)!

Like I mentioned, this little blog is a full time business for me which means I am so appreciative when you choose to click and shop through my links – whether that be on Instagram or the blog. I have poured everything I have into being a resource for all of you so that hopefully it makes your life a little bit easier. I know that shopping through my links is an extra step for you, but please know it makes all the difference to me. It is how I am able to continue sharing great deals, try on sessions, and everything else. O and it allows me to pay my bills 🙂

All of that is to say, shopping through my links does not cost you anything additional (the item is the same price), the retailer will just pay me a small cut since I am the one that referred you. Please know I am so thankful when you choose to shop through my links and give me credit for helping you score a great find!

What I Pack in my Carry On + Travel Tips and Tricks

What I pack in my carry on, travel tips and tricks

*I have been compensated by QVC for this blog post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.*

What I pack in my carry on, travel tips and tricks

What I pack in my carry on, travel tips and tricksAfter the airline (thou shall not be named) lost my bag last year, your girl has a small case of travel anxiety which has led me to pack a lot more strategically and efficiently. I devoted last year to traveling as much as I could and definitely picked up some travel tips, tricks and hacks along the way that I wish someone would have told me! Before we get started I figured I would share the crazy, semi-comical lost baggage story for your reading pleasure. If you are just here for the tips and tricks, keep scrolling to the bottom of the post!

BACK STORY:

Last July I flew to Miami for Miami Swim Week. Hands down one of the best weeks ever… until this situation happened. Silver lining: it was on the way home instead of on the way there which would have been an absolute disaster. Anywho, long story short, the last night we decided it would be a good idea to party all night long and go straight to the airport because YOLO. When we got to the airport (early I might add), we decided to check our baggage outside which I’ve never done in my life but alcohol told us this was a fantastic idea. Fast forward to landing in Houston, my bag never showed up.

At this point I was delirious from lack of sleep but was assured by the airline that my bag would show up on the next flight and they would bring it to me. FALSE. It never showed up. I was on the phone with customer service every day for the next week trying to get any sort of update on my bag. I even went up to the airport multiple times to try to get some kind of answers to no avail. I had thousands of dollars worth of product in that bag including ALL of my make up, ALL of my hair products/tools, and ALL of the designer swim suits and clothes I had taken and then been gifted in Miami. The airline couldn’t tell me anything. Supposedly it had been scanned in at check in and then never scanned again. Side note: They scan your bag at every check point (check in, TSA, on the plane, arrival, etc) and mine was just apparently MIA.

At one point they told me my bag might be in the Bahamas which made me LOL. I was all like “my clothes get a tropical vacation and I don’t?!”. I say LOL lightly because I wasn’t laughing. Funny enough though, my friend Kylee was traveling back to Miami the following weekend and offered to look for my bag at the Miami airport. I was sure that she would find it somewhere since I was so sure it had to still be at the Miami airport. Nope. She searched that whole dang airport with the help of a baggage claim assistant and it wasn’t anywhere to be found. I officially gave up hope after this.

I ‘m sure you are not surprised to find out that I had documented this entire process on my Instagram stories. Documented…ranted… same thing. So one of my sweet followers happened to be flying into a completely different Houston airport than I had flown into and messaged me that she thought she saw my bag. There was hope. I drove straight to the other airport and went straight to the baggage claim office. There were only 4 bags and none of them were mine. At that point I decided it was time to come to terms that I would never see any of my stuff again. I went and purchased new make up that day.

Then a miracle happened. Kylee happened to be flying into the Houston airport that my follower had said she had seen my bag. Kylee, who had flown into this airport many times, versus me who had never flown into that airport and didn’t know about the several cages that they store lost bags in, FOUND MY BAG. I woke up to several missed calls and FaceTime videos. It was possibly one of the best mornings of my life. The bag had been exactly where my follower had said it was but I just hadn’t looked in the right spot.

When Kylee found the bag they released it to her no questions asked. All 4 of my baggage tags had been ripped off which meant there was no identifier anywhere on the entire bag that could have tied it to me. No personal baggage tags. No airline baggage tags. No airline barcode stickers. Nothing. Sadly this happens more often than you think where baggage tags get ripped off somewhere during transportation from being on the conveyer belts. Now how my bag even made it on a plane, let alone to the correct city, just wrong airport, we will never know.

Something I learned during the process, if unidentifiable bags are “lost” for more than 30 days they are sold to a huge warehouse in Alabama where your beloved belongings are sold off piece by piece. 90’s kids: I immediately thought of Halloweentown and Gort’s cottage where all of the missing items go. Thankfully after a series of extremely lucky events, I got my bag back in tact, with everything still in it a little over a week later.

TRAVEL TIPS:

NEVER check your bags outside.

The staff outside is employed by the airport, not each individual airline, so if your bag goes missing, the airline isn’t held responsible.

Always put some form of identification IN your bag

On the off chance that your bag somehow does have all of it’s bag tags or identifiers ripped off, you should always have an identifier inside of your bag that can link your bag back to you. This could be a business card, a copy of your driver’s license or passport, or even a print out of your flight itinerary. I was told by the airline it is best to have your phone number and email in case anything ever happens.

Invest in a luggage tracker

I suggest doing your research on which option is best for you but luggage trackers are 100% worth the money. It’s basically like buying insurance on your belongings when you travel and while it might not solve all of your problems should your bag actually get lost, it will at least help figure out the bags location which is more than the airline can do sometimes. The Tile is a popular tracking device that you can stick to just about anything (keys, phone, luggage, etc) and tracks the item via an app on your phone.

Always pack your “can’t live withouts” in your carry on

Obviously this might be a little different for everyone but for me this means jewelry, especially sentimental jewelry, make up, hair tools, designer items, a change of clothes, a couple pairs of underwear, passport, and laptop. To keep these things organized in your carry on I suggest purchasing a couple different bags or pouches. I’m linking mine for you below.

HANDY GADGETS:

Weigher

If you are always that girl at the airport unloading one suitcase to another to get below the 50 pound mark, save yourself the trouble and get one of these luggage scales! If I’m going on a trip where I know i’ll be coming home with more than I’m going with, I make sure to toss this in my bag!

Packing Cubes

Packing cubes are a game changer for your checked bags and even mid size carry ons to keep your clothes organized, wrinkle free and room for more. If you are one of those people that can never find anything in your suitcase, these are for you!

Portable Charger

While you should definitely pack your normal chargers too, never leave for a trip without a portable charger. I can’t tell you how many times these have saved me when I didn’t have time to charge my phone or didn’t have the ability to charge my phone on the go.

Travel Size Makeup/Toiletries

Maybe not a gadget, but if you plan to bring your toiletries and makeup on the plane with you, you are going to need to invest in some travel size products. QVC has a great selection of name brand, travel size makeup and toiletries. You can also use TAKE10 for $10 off of your purchase for new customers!

Spring Make Up Refresh

International Womens Day Spring Make Up Refresh

I have been compensated by QVC for this post. As always, all opinions are my own!

International Womens Day Spring Make Up Refresh

International Womens Day Spring Make Up Refresh

International Womens Day Spring Make Up Refresh

International Womens Day Spring Make Up Refresh

Happy International Women’s Day ladies! While I think we should celebrate women everyday, today is a special day for womanhood and how far we have come. Celebrate all of the women who are killing it in the workforce. Celebrate all of the women who are raising babies. Celebrate all of the women who sacrifice day in and day out. Celebrate ALL of the women all over the world who are making a difference for our future. We still have a long way to go but I’m so proud to be a woman today hopefully opening doors for all of the women that will come after me.

I know this might seem unrelated but stick with me here. With Spring around the corner, a few weeks ago I thought it would be fun to challenge myself to try out some new make up products! Coincidentally right around the same time that I decided it was time for a Spring make up refresh, one of my followers asked me a question that sparked a fun idea. The question was, “If you could only use one make up product the rest of your life, what would it be?”. I didn’t even have to think twice about my answer. IT Cosmetics CC Cream of course!

I’ve used IT Cosmetics CC Cream for over 5 years, I’ve tried changing foundations and always go back to it. Always. The same follower asked me if I had tried any other other IT Cosmetics products and that’s when I realized I haven’t! How could I not have tried any other products from the brand I just deemed I couldn’t live without?! So I made it a mission to try out a full face worth of IT Cosmetics products and I’m so excited to share that my Spring Make Up Refresh is comprised of just that.

The more I dove into researching IT Cosmetics, I found out that it was founded by a woman and as a female business owner myself, it always brings me a little more joy knowing that the brand I am supporting was founded by a fellow girl boss! Women should support other women no matter how big or small!

So I’m excited to share that I found all of the products I’ve added into my Spring make up line up on a website that is supporting this mission. In honor of International Women’s Day, QVC® and HSN will be contributing $100,000 to Nest, buildanest.org, a global nonprofit committed to the social and economic advancement of women by supporting female artisans who might not have the resources they need to flourish. We invite you to visit QVC.com to learn more and support Nest—QVC is even matching donations on ALL sales today! Shop all of my new make up products below.
