August Top Ten

We are back for another monthly round up of the most purchased items from the previous month. I always love these posts because I enjoy seeing which items you ladies loved the most and which ones took a back seat. I always want to make sure that I bring you the best content and sale round ups so looking over this data for trending items, categories and retailers helps me plan similar content for the next month and hopefully you enjoy seeing behind the scenes a little bit too!

To shop any of the below items, simply click on the picture and it will take you to the retailers site to purchase! Also, if you enjoy these types of post and are curious about how I obtain this data and track sales on the back end, scroll down to the bottom of this post for more information on that!

Top Ten Purchased Items

10. Walmart Peasant Top
The best $15 Free People dupe I’ve found in awhile. It comes in 7 colors and runs true to size. It does shrink in the wash so you might want to size up!

9. Walmart Moto Jacket
If you love the BLANKNYC moto jackets but not the price tag or if you live somewhere that doesn’t get that cold, this jacket is for you! It’s just $25, comes in two great neutral colors, and is made of a cotton material so it’s not too hot.

8. Old Navy Coat
If you love the look of the J Crew coats but not the price, this coat is a great alternative! I own the past two years versions of this coat and have loved each one. I always get my true size, an XS, but if you are planning to wear multiple layers underneath, I would size up. It also comes in black.

7. Old Navy Pocket Cardigan
This cardigan is SO good you won’t believe it is from Old Navy. It is the same style as the popular Madewell ones with the same soft feel too. It runs true to size and comes in several colors.

6. Sunglasses Organizer
If you are wanting to display your sunglasses in your room or laundry room, this is a great option! It fits either 10 or 12 pairs of sunglasses and is just $20!

5. Macbook Pro Laptop Case
$17 Macbook Pro laptop case comes with 4 pieces: a top case, bottom case, keyboard cover and screen protector. You have over 20 patterns to choose from. I got the pink marble and the quality is great!

4. Walmart Peasant Top
A great $15 work to weekend top. It’s peplum heel so adorable and it comes in 4 colors/patterns.

3. A&F Straight Jeans
I love these so much that I own them in two washes! They are a true denim with little stretch so if in between sizes, size up. I own a size 24 and 25 and love both fits.

2. SLIP Silk Pillowcase
These rarely go on sale and this one is 50% off! If you aren’t familiar with silk pillowcases they have so many benefits for your hair and skin. The number one being that they allow you to go much longer in between hair washes! See more about the benefits in this blog post here.

1. BLANKNYC Suede Moto Jacket
The number one seller by a landslide. It keeps selling out but it’s fully stocked right now! This jacket is a staple in my Fall/Winter wardrobe. It instantly makes any outfit chic! Even over a dress and sneakers! I got my true size (an XS), but if you are planning to wear sweaters underneath, size up!

And as a reminder on how I obtain the monthly top ten data…

I use an affiliate program called rewardStyle. This means that if you click on any link- whether it be from my Instagram, Liketoknow.it app or blog, that takes you to a product page on a retailer’s site and rewardStyle is able to track that it originated from me. Some affiliate programs will pay the influencer for every click that they generate from their site. RewardStyle pays per purchase made. This means that if you click on one of my links and then end up purchasing that item, I will get a small commission (usually between 7-12%).  Many bloggers use this same program as part of their revenue source.

Because I use this service I do have access to data analytics. This means I can track what items are clicked on and purchased. I cannot see who clicked on each link or what other items might have been purchased. For example, if you click on my silk pillowcase link and then purchase a swimsuit and a top in the same transaction, I will only be able to see that a purchase was made and that the pillowcase link is how you got to the retailer’s site.

These analytics are incredibly important to me because it allows me to see what all of you are liking. At the end of the day, this little blog business of mine is meant to be a resource for all of you so having the ability to track and measure each product’s success is invaluable. Coming from a Finance background, I tend to geek out over the analytics side of it as I find it incredibly intriguing what all of you are liking, buying and clicking on the most! It gets my gears turning because I genuinely want to bring you products that you are going to love and want to buy (at the right price point of course)!

Like I mentioned, this little blog is a full time business for me which means I am so appreciative when you choose to click and shop through my links – whether that be on Instagram or the blog. I have poured everything I have into being a resource for all of you so that hopefully it makes your life a little bit easier. I know that shopping through my links is an extra step for you, but please know it makes all the difference to me. It is how I am able to continue sharing great deals, try on sessions, and everything else. O and it allows me to pay my bills 🙂

All of that is to say, shopping through my links does not cost you anything additional (the item is the same price), the retailer will just pay me a small cut since I am the one that referred you. Please know I am so thankful when you choose to shop through my links and give me credit for helping you score a great find!

Y’ALL! History has been made over on this little space of the internet. The satin pillowcases knocked the faux Gucci belt out of it’s year long reigning first place title. Not only did it get bumped from first, it got bumped down to third most purchased for the month. Second place goes to a new Amazon designer dupe that is almost too good to be true. Speaking of Amazon, four out of the top five purchased items were from Amazon so it’s safe to say y’all love a good Amazon find!
