Chic Tip: Where to Score Name Brand for Less

During quarantine I missed my weekly TJ Maxx runs until I discovered my new best friend, tjmaxx.com. It’s safe to say tjmaxx.com took my shopping addiction to a whole new level with SO many designer and name brand deals waiting for me online! Their site makes it easy to find exactly what I need, whether it’s a new bikini for vacation or a date night outfit in the city!

I’ve had several requests for western looks lately with the Houston Rodeo coming up and lots of you traveling to Nashville for bachelorette parties. I found several outfits from tjmaxx.com that would be so cute for both of these western occasions including cowgirl boots and everything!

Not only does tjmaxx.com have an amazing selection of designer and name brand fashion but they also have an entire home section as well! I’m not kidding one bit when I say that almost half of my living room decor is from tjmaxx.com, especially all of my designer coffee table books! You can get them for 50% off compared to other retailers that are selling them right now.

With prices this amazing, you can bet items don’t stay in stock too long. You are in luck though because I have a habit of going through the new arrivals section constantly and obviously share all of my finds with you all! See some of my recent home finds below and shop them easily by clicking on any items in the collages.

*Thank you tjmaxx.com for sponsoring this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own*

Houston… are you ready to Rodeoooo?!

If you are from Texas then you already know what a big deal the Houston Rodeo is. Personally, I look forward to the Rodeo almost just as much as I do Christmas and for really good reason if you’ve heard of a thing called fried Oreos! They might as well shut down work and school when the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo starts because it takes precedent over just about everything. And while we might spend the majority of the year trying to convince non-Texans that we don’t ride horses to work or that cowboy boots and hats aren’t a part of our normal everyday wear, all of that goes right out the window when the Rodeo comes to town.

When it comes to Rodeo fashion, the Rodeo might as well be Texas’ own version of New York Fashion Week. For most of us, it’s our one time of the year to pull out the most Texan attire that we own and flaunt it. Suddenly every person is dressed like they just popped out of an old western. While you can bet to find every guy in a pair of Wranglers, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat, the girls get to have a little more fun with their outfit choices. Long story short, just about anything goes as long as you’ve got your cowgirl boots on. If you live in Texas and don’t own cowgirl boots well then it’s about time you invest in a pair if you plan on sticking around the Lone Star State.

A few trends that I always love when Rodeo season comes around are embroidered attire, denim chambray, big belts and turquoise jewelry. I promise you will see it all. And I promise if you do dress to the Southern 9’s that you will not be out of place one bit. You will be more out of place if you don’t dress the part! If you are new to the Houston Rodeo or just need a little western style inspiration, see below!

On top of all of the Texan fashion, you can also bet to find a lot of country music, carnival rides, animals and a total food-lovers heaven. If you haven’t already given up hope on those New Year’s resolutions, you sure will after attending the Rodeo. They can fry just about anything you can imagine- Oreos, Twinkies, cheesecake, candy bars, ice cream, meat, vegetables you name it and they can fry it! You can always go for an old fashioned turkey leg but with all of the endless possibilities, you should probably take a page out of my book and try one of everything 🙂
