Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone had as nice and relaxing of a weekend as I did 🙂 I am a little more giddy this Monday morning than I usually am because today is the only day I will be coming in to work this week. I’m headed to Belize tomorrow morning with some of my favorite girlies and the beach is calling my name!! If you want to follow along while I sip on pina coladas all week you can follow me on Snapchat. My username is @shelbiadams.
This weekend Houston decided to show us a glimpse at what winter weather feels like and I took full advantage. These leather leggings from Zara will be on repeat this season because they spruce up every outfit and are so darn comfortable. The rest of this look came from my two favorite thrifty stores: Ross and Marshalls. I have linked similar options for you all!

This is Michelle Mickelson (I work for your dad, not sure if you remember me)…I just wanted to say how cool this blog is and how beautiful you have grown up to be! Love the outfits and the accessories!! I just recently read this really interesting article on purses and I thought you might be interested in it–Also, I am curious if you see the same trend as well…I have noticed that name brands like Coach, D&B etc aren’t as “cool” to girls as they used to be and I thought it was likely due to the brands not being as exclusive as they once were. Maybe your take is that the off-brand kind of looks are so comparable now in style and quality, that young girls just don’t care as much about he “name” of the purse. Anywho, keep up the great work! If you want, email me and I will be happy to send and if you ever blog on your purse preference, you might enjoy this too! Happy H-town Blogging! I will be reading 🙂

November 23, 2015 at 11:23 am (9 years ago)Hi Michelle! Of course I remember you! Thank you for the kind words and feedback. I would be very interested in reading the article if you want to send it to me! My email is itsallchictomeblog@gmail.com. I have noticed the same trend and hadn’t thought about the root cause. I think it is probably a mix of other designer brands taking the lead over Coach, D&B, etc. and becoming more accessible at lower costs as well as trendy stores that carry cute, quality purses for cheap. Your theory sounds pretty accurate too though! Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing 🙂
