“Playing dress-up begins at age five and

never truly ends.” – Kate Spade

One of my favorite reasons to be a fashion blogger is that I get to dress up just because. Sometimes it’s for a fancy event but most times it’s just for all of 10 minutes while my photographer works his magic. So that 10 minutes of glam is what I live for! Honestly when I’m in an outfit for longer than that, all I can think about is how much longer until I can hop into a pair of pajamas.

Last weekend with the Super Bowl in town, I had the opportunity to attend the Maxim Magazine party with a couple of my blogger friends. I had no idea what I was getting myself into but I am so glad that I went. This dress was perfect for the “dress to impress” dress code. Apparently Maxim’s version of “dress to impress” was to basically wear lingerie. The girls and I definitely did not get that memo so you could say we were a little too covered up compared to everyone else. The entire time at the party, I couldn’t help but to people watch. Y’all, the people watching was AMAZING. I saw Kendra Wilkinson, Chase Crawford and several other famous people but I couldn’t even begin to tell you their names. DJ Khaled, DNCE, and Travis Scott performed and you can bet we danced the night away among the rich and famous.

A dress like this is definitely a little daring but radiates confidence! I could see wearing this dress for a special event or gala. The plunging neckline is flattering for those of us oh-so-blessed with smaller chests so that it does not overbear the stunning detail on the rest of the dress.

Would you ever wear a dress like this? Honestly before the blog, I wouldn’t have dreamed of it but there is something so exhilarating about wearing something that you normally wouldn’t dare to and these days I will take all of the little thrills that I can get 😉
