Searching for "swimsuit"

February 2019 Top Ten

We are back for another monthly round up of the most purchased items from the previous month. I always love these posts because I enjoy seeing which items you ladies loved the most and which ones took a back seat. I always want to make sure that I bring you the best content and sales so looking over this data for trending items, categories and retailers helps me plan similar content for the next month and hopefully you like seeing behind the scenes a little bit too!

I’m in shock that the faux Gucci belt has fallen from it’s long reigning first place title. First place goes to a new Amazon designer dupe that is almost too good to be true and not surprising that it is a swimsuit. After my big Amazon swimsuit try on, it’s safe to say y’all love a good Amazon find and there will surely be more coming your way.

To shop any of the below items, simply click on the picture and it will take you to the retailers site to purchase! Also, if you enjoy these types of post and are curious about how I obtain this data and track sales on the back end, scroll down to the bottom of this post for more information on that!

And as a reminder on how I obtain the monthly top ten data…

I use an affiliate program called rewardStyle. This means that if you click on any link- whether it be from my Instagram or blog- that takes you to a product page on a retailer’s site and rewardStyle is able to track that it originated from me. Some affiliate programs will pay the influencer for every click that they generate from their site. RewardStyle pays per purchase made. This means that if you click on one of my links and then end up purchasing that item, I will get a small commission (usually between 7-12%).  Many bloggers use this same program as part of their revenue source.

Because I use this service I do have access to data analytics. This means I can track what items are clicked on and purchased. I cannot see who clicked on them or what other items might have been purchased. For example, if you click on my Gucci Belt link and then purchase a swimsuit and a top in the same transaction, I will only be able to see that a purchase was made and that the dress link is how you got to the retailer’s site.

These analytics are incredibly important to me because it allows me to see what all of you are liking. At the end of the day, this little blog business of mine is meant to be a resource for all of you so having the ability to track and measure each product’s success is invaluable. Coming from a Finance background, I tend to geek out over the analytics side of it as I find it incredibly intriguing what all of you are liking, buying and clicking on the most! It gets my gears turning because I genuinely want to bring you products that you are going to love and want to buy (at the right price point of course)!

Like I mentioned, this little blog is a full time business for me which means I am so appreciative when you choose to click and shop through my links – whether that be on Instagram or the blog. I have poured everything I have into being a resource for all of you so that hopefully it makes your life a little bit easier. I know that shopping through my links is an extra step for you, but please know it makes all the difference to me. It is how I am able to continue sharing great deals, try on sessions, and everything else. O and it allows me to pay my bills 🙂

All of that is to say, shopping through my links does not cost you anything additional (the item is the same price), the retailer will just pay me a small cut since I am the one that referred you. Please know I am so thankful when you choose to shop through my links and give me credit for helping you score a great find!

REVOLVE is one of my favorite online retailers to shop for swimsuits and special event pieces whether that be for vacation, a bachelorette party or a wedding. While it is hard to find budget friendly pieces on this website I have some tips to make your shopping experience a little more friendly on your wallet and hopefully a little easier so that you can navigate like a pro. The best budget friendly brands to checkout are Superdown (NEW!), Amuse Society, BlankNYCby the way, Free People, and Levi’s.

I always want to make sure that I bring you the best content and sales so looking over these data for trending items, categories and retailers helps me plan similar content for the next month and hopefully you like seeing behind the scenes a little bit too!

Y’ALL! History has been made over on this little space of the internet. The satin pillowcases knocked the faux Gucci belt out of it’s year long reigning first place title. Not only did it get bumped from first, it got bumped down to third most purchased for the month. Second place goes to a new Amazon designer dupe that is almost too good to be true. Speaking of Amazon, four out of the top five purchased items were from Amazon so it’s safe to say y’all love a good Amazon find!

To shop any of the below items, simply click on the picture and it will take you to the retailers site to purchase! Best Places To Shop For Affordable Active Wear

Active Wear Under $50

AERIE

CURRENT SALE: 40-50% OFF

My favorite leggings from Aerie are the 7/8 leggings (pictured above). I love them more than 99% of the leggings in my closet and find them comparable to ALO leggings. I will go so far to say that I like them better than Zella leggings. The fit and quality is just THAT good. They run true to size. Here is the original and here is a bigger selection with more colors and patterns. Not active wear related but their swimsuit section this year is my favorite and is 50% off right now.

FOREVER 21

CURRENT SALE: FREE SHIPPING OVER $21

Forever 21 surprisingly has a great active wear selection. While I will say a lot of their selection is more about the cuteness factor than functionality, I love that they have implemented different categories such as high, medium and low impact wear depending on how intense your work outs are.

GAP

CURRENT SALE: 40% OFF WITH CODE BRANDNEW

While I have never personally tried out Gap’s active wear, it comes highly recommended by all of you! The prices below do not reflect the 40% off discount. Discount is applied after the code is used in cart. One of the features I like about the GAP activewear selection is that you can shop by intensity level.

NORDSTROM RACK

Nordstrom Rack is hands down the best place to get name brands that you love for less. Think brands that Nordstrom carries at a fraction of the cost. Some of my favorite brands to shop at the Rack are Zella, Nike, Outdoor Voices, North Face and Electric Yoga. These Zella leggings were one of the top sellers in 2018 and a great leggings if you are in search of a basic, everyday legging! Check out the reviews!

Active Wear Under $50

OLD NAVY

CURRENT SALE: 20% OFF APPLIED AT CHECKOUT

Old Navy has been and always will be one of my favorite affordable clothing options! Their active wear selection has come a long way and offers trendy options that are almost always on sale. I particularly love their graphic tanks and mesh leggings!

OUTDOOR VOICES

Outdoor Voices is a newer athletic brand to me which I solely found through Instagram. I know a million and one bloggers that swear by this brand! While I have heard great things about the quality and support, I love the color blocking patterns that this brand offers plus who doesn’t love a good matching set?! I suggest filtering by the lowest price or checking out their sale section. Retailers like Nordstrom Rack and Hautelook also carry Outdoor Voices from time to time at a major discount.

TARGET

I’ve accumulated so many active wear pieces (well clothing in general) over the years from Target because let’s be honest you can’t go in without buying something! After trying out several of their different brands, my favorite is JoyLab

VICTORIA’S SECRET

CURRENT SALE: SEMI ANNUAL SALE

You can always bank on Victoria’s Secret to have sexy active wear.. is that a thing?! Right now they are running a special where you can get an entire outfit (sports bra + leggings) for just $55. That’s a great deal considering most of the sports bras are $40-$50 and the leggings are usually upwards of $70! Also since it’s currently the semi annual sale, you can score pieces as low as $9.99!

Other notable mentions are Nordstrom, Revolve and Shopbop. While these retailers are usually on the higher end, they do have sales from time to time that are worth checking out! Also, with any retailer that offers a range of different brands and price points, I almost always start off my search by filtering the price points from lowest to highest. See more of my new arrival picks below!
