Overalls

May Top Ten

We are back for another monthly round up of the most purchased items from the previous month. I always love these posts because I enjoy seeing which items you ladies loved the most and which ones took a back seat. I always want to make sure that I bring you the best content and sale round ups so looking over this data for trending items, categories and retailers helps me plan similar content for the next month and hopefully you enjoy seeing behind the scenes a little bit too!

The past couple of months I have started sharing more of my Amazon finds and I’d say by the number of top sellers from Amazon you ladies are definitely loving all things Amazon! That certainly doesn’t mean though that I will stop sharing my favorite items from places like Nordstrom, Abercrombie, Revolve and Old Navy!

To shop any of the below items, simply click on the picture and it will take you to the retailers site to purchase! Also, if you enjoy these types of post and are curious about how I obtain this data and track sales on the back end, scroll down to the bottom of this post for more information on that!

Top Ten Purchased Items

10. AMAZON LEGGINGS

Amazon LuluLemon Dupe Leggings

These Amazon leggings are a dupe for the very popular LuluLemon align leggings and come in close to 50 colors. They honestly feel like you aren’t wearing anything at all but definitely pass the bend over test! They fit true to size. I’m wearing an XS.

9. ABERCROMBIE SHORTALLSMay Top Ten

The best overalls I’ve found to date. The color I have (light wash) is no longer available but the dark wash is and I like it better! They fit true to size. I’m wearing an XS.

8. TARGET DENIM SHORTS

May Top Ten

The best $17 shorts out there. They are a good length + quality and are very stretchy! If in between sizes, size up.

7. AMAZON OTS JUMPSUIT

Amazon OTS Jumpsuit

This $25 Amazon prime jumpsuit find is what comfy dreams are made of. It comes in several colors and makes the best travel outfit too!

6. AMAZON SWIMSUIT

Amazon Swimsuit

A top seller for months now, this $25 scalloped bikini is the cutest thing and best quality too. The top is padded and the material is SO soft. Overall it has amazing coverage and comes in several colors. Size up! I am typically a XS and got the small.

5. IT COSMETICS VALUE PACK

IT Cosmetics

If you are a IT Cosmetics CC cream girl, you are going to love this QVC deal. It comes with the Matte CC Cream, foundation brush, Superhero mascara and rose lip treatment (kind of like a tinted chapstick). It’s basically like buy one, get three FREE! I hadn’t tried the mascara before this deal and now I can’t live without it. The matte CC cream is good for my girls with oily skin that want a full coverage foundation.

4. AMAZON COCKTAIL DRESS

Amazon Cocktail Dress I still can’t believe this dress is from Amazon! It’s SO good and under $30! I have the lavender color but it comes in about 10 gorgeous colors. It runs true to size. I’m wearing the small but could have done an XS.

3. AMAZON SWIMSUIT

Memorial Day Outfits

With July 4th coming up, now is the time to get those festive swimsuits ready! This high waisted swimsuit gem is too cute. Size up as it does runs small.

2. ISLE OF PARADISE TANNING DROPS

Isle of Paradise Drops

These tanning drops are all the rage right now and are constantly selling out at retailers. I use shade dark and add it to my face moisturizer 2-3 times a week! If you are new to QVC you can use TAKE5 for $5 off.

1. ABERCROMBIE OVERALLS

Graphic Tees

Y’all have sold these overalls out multiple times and I’m hoping some more sizes come back in stock because they are my favorite things ever. The boyfriend fit makes them very flattering and comfortable. They fit oversized but run true to size. I’m wearing the XS.

And as a reminder on how I obtain the monthly top ten data…

I use an affiliate program called rewardStyle. This means that if you click on any link- whether it be from my Instagram, Liketoknow.it app or blog- that takes you to a product page on a retailer’s site and rewardStyle is able to track that it originated from me. Some affiliate programs will pay the influencer for every click that they generate from their site. RewardStyle pays per purchase made. This means that if you click on one of my links and then end up purchasing that item, I will get a small commission (usually between 7-12%).  Many bloggers use this same program as part of their revenue source.

Because I use this service I do have access to data analytics. This means I can track what items are clicked on and purchased. I cannot see who clicked on them or what other items might have been purchased. For example, if you click on my Gucci Belt link and then purchase a swimsuit and a top in the same transaction, I will only be able to see that a purchase was made and that the belt link is how you got to the retailer’s site.

These analytics are incredibly important to me because it allows me to see what all of you are liking. At the end of the day, this little blog business of mine is meant to be a resource for all of you so having the ability to track and measure each product’s success is invaluable. Coming from a Finance background, I tend to geek out over the analytics side of it as I find it incredibly intriguing what all of you are liking, buying and clicking on the most! It gets my gears turning because I genuinely want to bring you products that you are going to love and want to buy (at the right price point of course)!

Like I mentioned, this little blog is a full time business for me which means I am so appreciative when you choose to click and shop through my links – whether that be on Instagram or the blog. I have poured everything I have into being a resource for all of you so that hopefully it makes your life a little bit easier. I know that shopping through my links is an extra step for you, but please know it makes all the difference to me. It is how I am able to continue sharing great deals, try on sessions, and everything else. O and it allows me to pay my bills 🙂

All of that is to say, shopping through my links does not cost you anything additional (the item is the same price), the retailer will just pay me a small cut since I am the one that referred you. Please know I am so thankful when you choose to shop through my links and give me credit for helping you score a great find!

Abercrombie & Fitch Holiday Collection

Abercrombie & Fitch Holiday Collection & Parkas

Happy Monday friends! I am so excited to be partnering with Abercrombie & Fitch today to share some of my favorite pieces from their Holiday collection and give my honest review on three of their most popular parkas (Ultra, Sherpa, and Nylon).

It’s no secret Abercrombie has worked it’s way back into my wardrobe over the past year and it’s been my mission to convert all of you ladies too. Well I’d say mission accomplished because I cannot tell you how many times a day I get messages thanking me for reintroducing you ladies to one of the retailers we frequented back in the day. I can tell you for the amount of Abercrombie that I own at this point, my high school self sure would be proud! If you have yet to see what all of the Abercrombie hype is about, wait until you see these outfits I put together with their Holiday collection- they are some of my favorite pieces yet!

Before we get started breaking down each piece, I want to talk about sizing. Abercrombie sizing is very true to size. I very rarely have to size up in anything! For the parkas they run on the bigger side but I suggest getting your true size so you can layer underneath. If you plan to really bundle up underneath, I might suggest sizing up but otherwise they run true to size! As for tops and skirts, I wear an XS and a 25 in their jeans.

ULTRA PARKA

I picked up the Ultra Parka last year before my trip to Chicago and it ended up being my favorite coat that I have ever owned. The fur vest inside is detachable so it can be worn by itself or as an extra layer inside. This coat is great for different climates since the amount of warmth can be adjusted by adding in or taking out the vest.

Without the vest, I’d say it’s great for temps between 45-65 degrees and anything colder than that I would add the vest back in! Now let’s talk about the vest because it’s probably my favorite part of the jacket! The “Green and “Black” color options will most certainly sell out first as the fur vest in these is *in my opinion* the best. It looks very expensive and because of the color can be worn with black, brown or grey boots. See one of the ways I’d style the vest below.

This coat has 4 pockets, a fur hood and adjustable drawstrings on the waist and bottom of the jacket. It also has a zipper and button closure.

Abercrombie & Fitch Holiday Collection & Parkas

Flannel Shirt: A staple piece for the cooler weather that can be worn so many different ways. Tied in a cute knot in the front, open with a shirt underneath or tied around your waist. It comes in 10 color options but these 4 are my personal favorite. The ones on the far left and right will also be great for the holiday season to layer under sweaters and sweatshirts so that they peak out at the collar and sleeve. I sized up to a small for a more oversized look. If you want more of a fitted look, get your true size.

LEFT // MIDDLE // RIGHT

Overalls: I own the left and middle pair and they are both top sellers for the blog. The black is more form fitting and stretchy while the middle and right pairs are a looser, boyfriend fit. I suggest sizing up in the black pair. The boyfriend overalls fit oversized but run true to size. I’ve styled both pairs for warm and cold weather. Check out my Instagram for more inspiration.

Here is one way to style the vest on it’s own. This look would be cute for holiday pictures or a holiday party!

Abercrombie & Fitch Holiday Collection & Parkas

ONE // TWO // THREE // FOUR

Abercrombie’s mini skirt collection is amazing right now. I’ve been on a skirt kick since Houston hasn’t cooled off enough for full on Winter mode. I’ve paired all of these skirts with everything from sock booties to riding boots to over the knee boots. I have found that their skirts run on the bigger side but I usually still get my true size for length purposes. If you are in between sizes though, I suggest sizing down.

SHERPA MILITARY PARKA

Maybe it’s because I’m sherpa obsessed or maybe because this parka comes in the 4 most beautiful colors but this Sherpa Military Parka is so good y’all! The entire inside is lined with sherpa making it extremely cozy and warm. This jacket has two pockets, a fur hood, and adjustable drawstrings on the waist and bottom. While all 4 colors are gorgeous, I anticipate the Navy Blue and Olive Green will sell out first as they are usually more popular colors.

Abercrombie & Fitch Holiday Collection & Parkas

Boucle Sweater: I loved this sweater so much I paid full price for it and that’s saying a lot because I rarely pay full price for anything! It fits a little oversized but I suggest getting your true size. Notice I’ve styled it with a skirt above and jeans below!

SHINY NYLON PARKA

The Shiny Nylon Parka is the most heavy duty parka out of the three. This coat is definitely made for a cold climate with it’s heavy duty material, warm lining, and long length. I like that this coat his a cinching effect on the sleeves and zippers on the sleeve and bottom of the coat- added details like this give it something special! Other details include two hand pockets, a fur hood and a adjustable drawstring on the bottom of the coat. It comes in two beautiful colors!

ONE // TWO // THREE // FOUR

Beanies: I own number one and two and always get so many compliments. Finding fashionable and practical beanies can be tough but these check both boxes! The two in the middle are going to be your warmest and the two on the outside are more for show since they are a knit material.

Abercrombie & Fitch Holiday Collection & Parkas

ONE // TWO // THREE // FOUR

Scarves: I own several scarves from Abercrombie and I can vouch that they are top notch. They are pretty big and very warm! They have lots of colors and fabrics but these are my favorites!

Abercrombie & Fitch Holiday Collection & Parkas

Buffalo Check Poncho: I own the red and black and always get so many compliments! It is perfect for the holiday season and looks so cute paired with a striped tee like this.

HOLIDAY PAJAMAS

I couldn’t end this post without mentioning that Abercrombie has arguably the biggest and best holiday pajama selection that alway sells out so fast. I already picked up these flannel ones and also this jogger set. Both run true to size and are beyond cozy!

Sleepwear: Everything from pajamas to robes to slippers! Everything fits true to size and will sell out well before Christmas so I suggest stocking up early!

Overalls: Madewell | Shirt: Similar | Shoes: Sam Edelman

Overalls have come full circle as do most trends. My guess is that most of you probably haven’t worn them since you were under the age of 5 so the thought of rocking them now feels either childish or down right crazy. Just like I swore I’d never wear skinny jeans (spoiler alert: now that’s all I own), I swore the overall trend was definitely not for me. Here I am eating my words yet again because I’m officially head over heels for these overalls.

The Madewell overalls that I’m wearing are by far the most popular pair of overalls out there right now. They are a pretty penny but after trying out several pairs of lower priced options, none compared to the Madewell pair in terms of quality and fit. To be completely transparent I also only tried three other pairs- this Old Navy pair (runs true to size), this American Eagle pair (size up 2 sizes), and this Francesca’s pair (true to size). Don’t get me wrong, all are decent alternatives but after experiencing the Madewell ones there was just no turning back. So if you don’t want to even be tempted with the price tag, do not even try them on because you will inevitably buy them and question everything you once stood for.

What I love about these overalls is the amount of stretch, the high waist, large pockets and large bib structure in the back. You will find that a lot of overalls have more of a suspender look in the back which is not the most flattering and usually results in gaping. They do fit true to size (i’m wearing an XS) and have adjustable straps. If you want to try out this trend as well, I’ve rounded up my favorites at all price points!
