50 Fall Instagram Captions + Houston Pumpkin Photo Ops

I pride myself on witty, funny captions because my philosophy is that we could all use a little smile or giggle while scrolling through Instagram am I right?! In addition to all of the best Fall, pumpkin, and Halloween captions out there, I’m also including links to all of my favorite Fall outfits as well as the best spots in Houston to get your basic ol’ pumpkin pictures.

HOUSTON PUMPKIN PHOTO SPOTS

Houston Pumpkin Patch

  • Corneulius Nursery– In the heart of Houston and where about 99% of these photos were taken. Great nursery year round but especially love them this time of year. They also already have their Christmas trees/decor out at this point!
  • Blessington Farms– This place has everything! Blueberry and strawberry picking. Tons of games and hayrides. Currently home to an adorable pumpkin patch out past Katy in Willis, TX.
  • Faith United Methodist Church– If you are near the Woodlands area, this Church has a pretty big selection and is very family friendly. They aren’t activities but if you need to buy a pumpkin, this is perfect for that!
  • Old Time Christmas Tree Farm–  Located in Spring, TX it is normally a Christmas Tree farm but their pumpkin patch during October and November is amazing plus lots of fun activities for the entire family.
  • St. Luke’s United Methodist– Beautiful church in the heart of Houston. There are no other activities besides picking pumpkins and taking cute photos!
  • Tomball Corn Maze–  A 5 acre corn maze + pumpkin patch. Check out their website for themed weekends as well as speciality food trucks.
  • Dewberry Farms Pumpkin Patch– An 8 acre farm located in Brookshire, TX. You could spend all day here! It is the priciest but largest selection of pumpkins and arguably the best for photos.

Tuesday Trend: Fall Prints

It’s been a hot minute since I did a Tuesday Trends post but your girl is bringing them back because they are some of my favs! Is it weird that making these collages is almost therapeutic to me?! I bet most bloggers would tell you i’m crazy for saying that because they take hours!

While none of these are “new” trends by any means, they are certainly in full force this season! I went from being a camo hater to lover in 0.2 seconds. It’s funny how we see trends pop up and tell ourselves “you’ll never catch me in that” and then end up eating our words later on. I used to think camo was just for rednecks and hunting season but somehow the fashion industry has turned it into arguably this season’s hottest print. Camo silk scarves have become a thing y’all and there ain’t nothing redneck about that. I slowly started my camo obsession with this pair of Levi’s (pictured below) and it’s only gone crazy from there.

Now when it comes to the plaid epidemic, I actually had no idea how popular glen plaid (or that that was the name of it for that matter) was until fashion week when every single blogger showed up in a plaid blazer! And here I was thinking I was rocking a very unique blazer.. WRONG! While glen plaid blazers are all the rage right now, you will find everything from sock booties to pant suits. My favorite blazer that I have found is this one from Express (pictured below). If you would like a less expensive option, this one from Target is very similar!

And arguably my favorite trend this season because it’s usually so hard to find is leopard! I’ve always been a fan of leopard accessories, like my leopard pumps for the office and leopard scarf to wear with tunics and over the knee boots, but I love that you can now find leopard everything. This leopard shirt has been a top seller for the blog (runs true to size). I’ve dressed it down for the weekend and up for the office. Leopard is definitely a print that is timeless and classy which makes it perfect for all occasions, including the office.

Fall Prints

If you want to try out any of these trends I’ve round up a ton at all different price points and several are on sale right now. Pink Lily Boutique has a lot of camo and leopard cuteness right now (some linked below) and I have a 15% discount code for you ladies – SHELBI15! Another place worth checking out is Express because they have a TON of camo and are currently having a sale!

You know those basics that you reach for out of habit? The ones that you might have already worn 2 or 3 times this week, but they are your tried and true favorites that you wear if you can’t seem to find anything else that’s cute AND comfortable? That’s me most days. Especially since getting dressed isn’t the easiest task right now, my ultimate goal is to always be comfortable and to be honest I don’t want to put a lot of thought into what I’m going to be wearing for the day because if I do, I’ll end up with a pile of clothes on the ground that didn’t make the cut. Want to know the chances that those clothes get hung back up? Zero.

It’s always great to stock your closet with easy basics that are also great to layer when the temperatures start to drop. Let’s break it down by tops, bottoms, coats/vests, and shoes. All of which I am going to list could technically be mixed and matched and are basics that I would go out on a limb to say that you NEED in your closet and won’t regret on those days that you have “nothing to wear”.

Dress: Endless Summer | Purse: Similar | Shoes: Nordstrom | Earrings: Similar

Photography by: Laurel Creative

Happy Monday, friends! This time change has got me all kinds of whacked out so forgive me if this blog post makes no sense! I have a feeling that these days are about to turn into 2 a days (coffee not working out, lol).

Ok onto the job at hand… Fall florals. There are many reasons why I am loving this trend but 99% of those reasons have to do with the fact that I’m not ready to let go of Summer. Coincidence that this dress is by Endless Summer? I think not! You have probably seen this trend popping up everywhere. There is no denying that florals are making their way into next season and I love it! In fact every time I think of florals one of my favorite movies comes to mind, The Devil Wears Pradawhere Meryl Streep judgingly says, “Florals for Spring? GROUND BREAKING!”. Well y’all I’d say florals for Fall really are 🙂

While this particular dress keeps some fun Spring/Summer colors alive, I love how it’s base tone is a deep navy color. One thing that is very important if you are wanting to try this trend is that you do not bust out a bright, pastel colored, floral dress. You will want to look for deeper, richer tones such as navy, olive, black, maroon, brown, etc. Don’t worry I’ve done all of the work for you and rounded up some of my favorite Fall florals below.

To polish off your Fall floral look, pair it with some booties or over the knee boots. Don’t worry I rounded up some of those for you too! If you decide to try out this trend, I’d love to see! Tag me @itsallchictome in your photos on Instagram.
